While strolling along the Nivernais canal or around its narrow streets, the atmosphere of the old limestone quarries of this small, typically Burgundian village still invades you.

Each construction: church, walls, houses, stairs, low walls… evokes the hard work and excellence of the old stonemasons and master quarrymen.

The famous poster artist Charles Loupot, a resident of the village, drew his inspiration there... his works are now exhibited at the Museum of Art and History in Clamecy, as well as the Gallo-Roman remains, found during recent archaeological excavations.
