Need a quiet moment to decompress? Follow Christiane and Gérard, between Clamecy and Villiers-sur-Yonne... This afternoon, after a return to their accommodation and a pleasant time to digest: a short visit to the surroundings of the Tannaysie vineyard...
Lunch break in Clamecy:

After a pleasant meal and a visit to their room, Christiane and Gérard decide to have tea in the bar area of the Hostellerie de la Poste. The managers are always there to welcome them with a smile.

Our two vacationers also take the opportunity to leaf through the newspaper at their disposal and keep abreast of local news. " Take ? Guided tours are held in the vicinity during the summer? This could be the subject of future releases…”

It is very hot, but the sections of walls of the old town of Clamecy can create shade suitable for a short pleasant walk. Thus, while waiting for a more complete guided tour, Gérard already suggests taking a short tour on an unaccompanied tour. Luckily, tourist documentation, offered by the tourist office, is freely available at the Hostellerie de La Poste. Circuits, maps and brochures are presented there, including that of the historic center of Clamecy.

The couple discovers that 8km from the hotel is a winery open to visitors…. Owl ! They call to arrange an on-site meeting. Pierre Hervé, organic winegrower at the Bel Air estate in Villiers-sur-Yonne, is available… meeting possible within an hour and a half!

Digestive walk in the shaded streets of Clamecy:

We never tire of these streets and sloping roofs! Under cover of the saving shade, the walk is very appreciable.

We look at restaurant menus and shop windows…

Other friendly tourists are looking for their way: "Can you tell us the tourist office, please ? ". “We went there yesterday, you're not very far! Go up rue de la Monnaie and turn left into rue du Grand Marché! »

What a pleasure to be able to simply stroll through the cool streets of an ancient medieval city on a beautiful summer day!

Head to the Tannaysie vineyard, for a delicious tasting in perspective…

Discovery of the Tannay vineyards and wines at Pierre Hervé, at the Domaine de Bel Air:

What could be more telling, for a discovery of the hillside, than a short stroll in the vineyards? Pierre, passionate about his job, explains to Christiane and Gérard the basics of growing the vineyard.

The winegrower also looks back on his atypical career: culture calls for another, after the elevation of spirits: that of taste!

Harvest time has not yet come, but the bunches are already very good at the end of August.

With the harmonious tonality of the wine, the intimate decor is planted: a real winery operator's cellar to taste a good wine!

Pierre Hervé makes our friends taste his range of white wine, but also red wine, directly from the barrel to the glass (to be consumed in moderation).

If you want to buy organic wine from the Domaine de Bel Air, go to the Caves de Clamecy, 9 rue du Grenier à Sel – Tel: +03 (86)24 43 26 XNUMX XNUMX.

The delightful encounter is coming to an end. Return to Clamecy after a beautiful afternoon!
