Domain of Bel-Air

Created in the 90s in the context of the renaissance of the Tannay hillside vineyards, Domaine Bel Air in Villiers-sur-Yonne covers 6 hectares of vines on well-exposed clay-limestone hillsides, which border the middle course of the Yonne.
The vines are managed organically and the wines are vinified and aged in the Burgundy tradition.
By appointment, the winemaker, Pierre Hervé, will welcome you to share with you his passion for his profession, and introduce you to his products.

It offers (depending on the vintage)
- 4 or 5 cuvées of white wines from the Chardonnay grape variety, vinified separately by plot in order to express the character specific to each terroir.
Some are aged in (stainless) vats to bring out their freshness and their delicate, fruity and floral aromas. Others are aged in barrels, which gives richer and more complex wines, suitable for ageing.

- 2 to 4 red cuvées, from Pinot Noir, also expressing the characteristics of their terroir of origin.
These wines are pleasant in their youth, their freshness and their fruitiness, but they can also be kept in the cellar where they will gain in complexity and refinement for sometimes more than 10 years.

Its wines are marketed mainly at the estate and in a few local shops and restaurants.
