The Moulin de Rix

Located in Nièvre, at the foot of an old Burgundian village, the Rix mill offers vacationers the luxury of 5,5 hectares of water and meadow inviting you to stroll, daydream or contemplate the wildlife and the flora that populate the area. 4 km from the mill, the medieval town of Clamecy offers all local shops, while many historic sites - Auxerre and Avallon (40 km), Vézelay (25 km), Dijon, the Nivernais canal as well as the Morvan Massif and its lakes and the famous vineyards of Burgundy and the Loire (Beaune, Chablis, Sancerre, etc.) are all invitations to discover the heritage of this beautiful region. Housed in a “cottage” independent of the mill, the accommodation combines the charm of the old (1743) which has been preserved and the comfort that one hopes to find on vacation. The living room, spacious and lit by large openings overlooking, without vis-à-vis, the mill reach and the river, includes: the equipped kitchen and its dining area, a lounge area (3-seater sofa that can offer a double additional bed, television, numerous books available in French and English). Underfloor heating and a wood stove ensure maximum comfort, even in winter. The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower. A mezzanine overlooking the living room accommodates a double bed.
