Basseville Rocks

The Basseville rocks (Surgy cliff) are made up of a set of cliffs 10 to 40 m high, interspersed with corridors or slopes of varying width and arranged along two axes. One, perpendicular to the road is exposed to the South and includes the Muraillette and its outbuildings, the other, parallel to the same road is exposed to the East, it brings together the Grande Falaise, the Tourelle, the Clochetons and the Muraille de China. The Aiguillette occupies the angle of these two axes. Each sector has its own character, so the Muraillette offers a large concentration of easy routes, the Grande Falaise long and slender routes, the Clochetons and the Muraille short and sloping routes.
